Planning for the Future of Your Family Lands

       

Presenter:
Heidi Horak is a Board Certified Real Estate Attorney that practices throughout Florida, assisting landowners with primary considerations of land holding, land management and estate planning for their land. She received her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in 1990, and is expecting her LL.M. in Environmental and Land Use Law from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in 2013. She is admitted to practice in Florida (1990) and New York (1997). Heidi assisted Conservation Trust for Florida by presenting 9 landowner workshops in Central Florida counties in the summer of 2012.

Coordinators:

Busy Kislig-Shires Byerly is the Executive Director for Conservation Trust for Florida. She received a B.A. in Geography from the University of Florida. A graduate of the Florida Natural Resources Leadership Institute in 2002, she has worked on projects for The Wildlands Project and the National Gap Analysis Program. Busy is a member of the Town of Micanopy’s Planning and Historic Preservation Board. She is a native of Alachua County and grew up on a horse farm and still rides dressage.

Rosalie Koenig is lecturer with the UF IFAS Department of Agronomy and her research focus is on farming systems with specialization in organic production systems. She also works in applying experiential learning and pedagogical theories to the development of sustainable and production agriculture educational modules.
